Alex Ferrara
Alex Ferrara is the editor and founder of WhereIsThePope.com, a live tracker covering the location, apostolic journeys, and public agenda of Pope Leo XIV.
Having followed the papacy closely for over a decade, Alex has a particular interest in the Church's engagement with contemporary politics, interfaith dialogue, and the intricate logistics of the modern papacy. This ongoing study led to a simple conviction: at a time when the papacy speaks to over a billion people across 140 countries, there must be a clear, reliable, and freely accessible answer to the question, "Where is the Pope today?"
To achieve this, Alex built a platform that draws on primary sources—including Vatican News, the Holy See Press Office, and the Vatican's official calendar. While ensuring the tracker updates automatically every thirty minutes, Alex maintains strict editorial oversight, reviewing all content before publication. Driven by the belief that the global Church deserves more than English-only journalism, Alex also oversees the site's coverage across seven languages.
Committed to accurate and non-partisan reporting on the Catholic Church, Alex welcomes corrections and news tips at [email protected].
