Pope Leo XIV led a prayer meeting titled 'Canticle of Peace' at Borgo Laudato si’ in Castel Gandolfo. This gathering marked the celebrations honoring the eighth centenary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi, a pivotal figure in the history of the Catholic Church.
Andrea Bocelli performed at the event, accompanied by the ABF Voices choir, which included 164 children and young people from Israel, the West Bank, Uganda, Haiti, and Italy.
The Canticle of Peace served as a powerful reminder of the teachings of Saint Francis of Assisi, which resonate deeply in today’s world. Through their singing, these young performers shared their diverse life stories — many touched by war, poverty, or suffering — using art as a universal language of dialogue, hope, and reconciliation.
