Pope Leo XIV will return to the papal residence at Castel Gandolfo on the evening of August 12 and will remain there until Tuesday, August 18. During this time, he will celebrate Mass for the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary at the Pontifical Parish of St. Thomas of Villanova, as he did last year.
The Holy Mass will take place on Saturday, August 15, at 10 a.m. Following the Mass, Pope Leo XIV will pray the Angelus from Castel Gandolfo.
Additionally, the Pope will lead the Angelus prayers on both August 15 and 16. This cherished tradition is significant in the Roman Catholic liturgical calendar, particularly in honoring the Assumption of Mary.
