Pope Leo XIV Celebrates Mass in Madrid — Sunday 7 June 2026
Pope Leo XIV celebrated an open-air Holy Mass in Madrid on Sunday 7 June 2026, the spiritual centrepiece of his visit to the Spanish capital. The Mass began at 10:00, followed by a Corpus Christi procession through the streets to the Plaza de Cibeles.

Saturday 6 June — Arrival
The Pope arrived at Barajas Airport at 10:30 and was welcomed by King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia at the Royal Palace of Madrid at 11:30. After an institutional meeting with civil and diplomatic authorities, he visited CEDIA 24 Horas — a Caritas-run social centre in the Lucero neighbourhood providing overnight shelter, social guidance and psychological support to people experiencing homelessness.
The day closed with an evening prayer vigil at Plaza de Lima at 20:30, attended by approximately 500,000 young people near the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.
